For sale is a South Western Industries (SWI) Trav-a-Dial #6A indicator. It is in great shape. Turns smooth and works well. These are a great indicator for use on lathe's and mill's. No electricity, no electronics, no problems! Includes indicator, mounting base, mounting base spacer, mounting bracket and all mounting hardware.
Bracket is SWI BR-96. It was used to mount the indicator to a Takisawa TSL1000S lathe. If you have a Takisawa or a similar Moro-Seiki clone this may bolt up with no modifications. Included hardware will attach the bracket to the top of the carriage with no drilling. Should fit many 12-16" lathes. This mounting bracket allows you to mount the trav-a-dial on the other side of the threading gauge without removing it. A unique feature!
Mounting bracket is the "Light Flexure", and includes a .5" spacer which can be used to modify the height for different lathes. Includes tensioning spring as well.
Crystal on the indicator is a little faded but perfectly readable. If you would like it to be perfect replacements are very inexpensive.
