Refurbished Mitutoyo Caliper/Indicator Set

Description

These Mitutoyo Dial Caliper and Test Indicator Set has been professionally refurbished by myself, Joshua Renfree, of Accurate Origins Tool Repair and Sales. They are guaranteed to arrive accurate and working properly within factory specs. Years of tools repaired or sold my myself passing calibration back this guarantee.
Both of these tools have enjoyed the following:
- Complete disassembly.
- Inspection of all parts under magnification to ensure quality and lasting performance. These tools won't break down after a month of use or a year if not abused.
- Sonic cleaning of all parts except the dial faces. These are too delicate and are cleaned by hand.
- Test Indicator pinion gear is cleaned by pushing into pith wood. This is the only way to properly clean such a small gear.
- Dial Caliper gear rack is cleared using a special method that doesn't damage the teeth. Too many people use steel bristled brushes, not realizing the damage being done at a level you cannot see with the naked eye.
- A new crystal is installed on the dial caliper bezel.
- Careful expert reassembly.
- Testing for accuracy and repeatability for the entire measuring range on both tools. Without this step, you can't say a tool "works great" or "repeats great". I use a calibrated large Starrett micrometer head graduated in .0001" increments for indicators and Carbide Grade 0 gauge blocks for dial calipers.
