Lawry's Tableside Mid Century Heated Prime Rib / Dining Cart (Guéridon)

Description

Rarely seen in the wild - handmade prime rib dining cart made famous by places like Lawry's.  Once a popular fine dining accoutrement, these tableside carts have disappeared along with a bygone era.  Today there are creative chefs like Danny Bowien in NYC who are bringing these back into the fold.
Lawry's, who still has the carts custom made for them, would pay in the 1950s as much as the most fully loaded Cadillac off the lot just for one cart.  That is not too far off as to have one of these custom made with the dome top costs appx ,000 and lacks the historic appeal and patina of one of these.
This particular unit is polished stainless with a wood / veneer base.  The veneer needs to be redone which we have had estimated at 0 for new walnut veneer.
