Signal Generator Test Lead for:
Heathkit SG-8 / SG-9 / IG-102 / RF-1 / B&K E-200D / Eico 324 / Eico 369 / Knight Signal Generator/ Eico 955 Capacitor Tester / Many Oscilloscopes and other items of test equipment
This lead is used for all functions on the SG-8/SG-9/IG-102/RF-1 and no other leads are required
It is also used on the E-200D RF Out and Eico 324 RF Out
This is an "Unterminated Lead" - the E-200D uses both Terminated (50 Ohm) and Unterminated Leads depending upon the application -  most equipment uses unterminated leads for the majority of connections (but I will have Terminated leads available for the E-200D soon)
Makes a good cable for "Foil Side Testing" on vintage Oscilloscopes as well - see my other auctions for versions of this lead with other types of connectors and versions with "Grabber" leads instead of Alligator clips - I can also build you a custom cable to suit your needs
This lead is made using a Genuine Switchcraft 2501F Microphone Connector (aka Amphenol 75-MC1, JT30, Etc..)
1 3' Section of RG174 Coax (a very flexible and thin wire)
2 Alligator Clips
and  4" section of braided ground strap and 6 pieces of Heat Shrink Tubing for strain relief and strength
This lead is built to Heathkit specifications as shown in the SG-8 Instruction Manual
In this design the shield extends all the way to the alligator clip, the ground strap is soldered to the shield about 4" from the end of the wire - this is done using the materials and techniques I employ in the manufacture of my other dozen or so test probe and test lead designs
I have shipped these probes and kits to several dozen countries and have received nothing but praise for bot the kits and probes, I think you too will be pleased with this simple and durable set to get that old meter back in service!
