This is an original press photo. Johnny Adams, 20, whose pitching at the University of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia, aroused the interest of big league scouts this spring, photographed in a Giant uniform, after reporting to Manager John McGraw at the Polo Grounds, New York, July 12. Under the contract he will not be farmed out this year but will take his chances in training camp next season. Adams, a right hander, had been pitching with a Richmond amateur team.Photo measures 6 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 07-12-1930.
